Job Summary
We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team! As an operator, you will be responsible for the upkeep and preventative maintenance of your equipment. We are currently looking for someone with experience operating a material handler with a magnet attachment. This position may not be limited to operating a material handler. We also run front end loaders, skidsteers, excavators with grapple and shear attachments, as well as material handlers with grapple attachments. You will also help perform and record regular maintenance for your equipment. The ideal candidate has a background in operating newer and older equipment, as well as working safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Making sure your equipment is pre and post tripped.
- Keeping the cab clean
- Operating in a safe and timely manner while loading or processing scrap.
Qualifications
- Bilingual is a plus
- Previous heavy equipment operation experience
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to work well within a team environment
Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
